Greenhouse
I wanted to buy a greenhouse for my yard, to extend the growing season, and to have something on the gravel pad that was created for a storage shed.
Local stores carry greenhouses, for the size that I wanted would cost $1500.
I found someone on craigslist that wanted to sell theirs for $550. Alas, it was sold before I could arrange transportation.
Luckliy Green house megastore came to the rescue!!!

Unfortunately shipping that was free to the united states would have cost a couple of hundred dollars to Vancouver.
Recently, when I went to a shrine building workshop offered by the Public Dreams Society, I ran into Ari Lazer, a local artist visionary. The Dusty Flowerpot Society, and he talked about his experience in building geodesic structures out of bamboo and bicycle tubing.
It sounds like an intriguing idea. I would love to support a local artist if it is within my budget.
Reading more about simple geodesic structures, one can use the starplate connector system, which can also be used as a shed, or even a 2 floor temporary home, or shade at burning man.
More details on building a 1V geodesic structure: Calculations, School built dome and a few good articles.
Upon further research, this can be used not just for greenhouses, but geodesic structures can be used for homes as well.
Gary Green has put together a whole bunch of sites, that help people understand their options for shed and shelter.
